before starting my website i had already created my own logo. This was the very first version i had created. It was originally just to put at the end of every video i made or uploaded and eventually just decided to use it as my own official logo. As for the creative process it was very quickly come up with. I have always been a fan of glitchy, neon yet dark sort of aesthetic. The sort of aesthetic you get from things like Altered Carbon or Blade Runner, not so much from the movie itself but from the universe they belong to. So i knew i wanted tom have something fun to look at while also seeming incredibly dark. Similar to what the whole anonymous logo/gimmick/look. The smiley was the way to go in my opinion, it's simple, easy to draw, easy to recognise and after altering it to look glitched out and distorted it added the darkness i was looking for while staying relatively fun looking. I've gone on t refine it slightly more so its a lot less distorted but still looks very similar. I used to more refined on as the website background and i feel the original version was too noisy. You can see below the difference between the two.

I've always much preferred dark modes on websites, which is why my website its almost entirely black when it comes to the background. I believe it helps the colours from my logo stand out more, anything colourful from my work will look better with black behind it instead of a bright white back ground. Having the writing as white with the occasional burst of red means they will both stand out against the black and having a basic easy to read font helps also. Due to my logo having a glitchy, broken look to it, i felt the writing on the website had to be more block like so it was easier to read and added at least a little structure.

For showcasing my work i have one page with one media player within it. Which has all the videos i have on you tube linked to it. I felt for showcasing work, the best way to get it on the website was through you tube for a few reasons. The first is that I wont need to upload my work on my own website, you tube, vimeo and everywhere else. I can just upload it to youtube and have the media player linked to my channel. The second reason is it gives people and easy way to access my channel without having to search rigorously online for it. If people would like to visit any other of my social media platforms i have linked them in the top right hand corner of my website and at the very bottom of the website.
